Horses will score points, for the purposes of the test game, as follows:
- 25 points in a race worth over £30,000 to the winner
- 20 points in a race worth over £25,000 up to £30,000 to the winner
- 15 points in a race worth over £15,000 up to £25,000 to the winner
- 12 points in a race worth over £10,000 up to £15,000 to the winner
- 10 points in a race worth £10,000 or less to the winner
An additional 25 points will also be awarded to the winners of specific races chosen at the discretion of Post Racing. Players will be notified of the date these races take place in plenty of time to "horse trade" should they wish to do so.
In the event of a dead heat, points will be divided by the number of horses dead heating with fractions rounded down.
No points will be awarded for a walkover.
The official result on the day will be final with subsequent disqualifications disregarded.
Bonus point according to the official starting price will be awarded to winning selections as follows:

4/1 to 7/1 = 4 points

over 7/1 to 11/1 = 7 points

over 11/1 to 16/1 = 11 points

over 16/1 to 20/1 = 16 points

over 20/1 to 25/1 = 20 points

Placed horses will score as follows:

2nd place in any race = 7 points

3rd place in any race = 5 points

4th place in any race = 3 points
Horses will also score points by virtue of having run in a race and being placed on the track prior to off time
